Travel assignments
Travel assignments are typically 13-week assignments, with some exceptions. Many of our Travelers have chosen to stay on at their assignments, extending up to a year or two. If you prefer to move assignments, we can accommodate your needs. Many of our Client Hospitals are located in Northern California, providing an outstanding backdrop for any assignment! 

You are generally required to have at least 1-2yrs experience in a hospital setting within your specialty. You must have a current California RN License or Surgical Technologist transcripts or Certification. All our Travelers must have current BLS and vaccination records.

Once you know where you want to go and have the assignment options, we will help to determine which assignment fits you best. 

Interview 
Due to the nature of Travel Assignments, Interviews are usually conducted by phone with the Travel Nurse and Unit Manager. We will help you with any preparation you may need and follow up to obtain an Offer of Assignment. 

Starting the Assignment
Once a Travel Assignment is put in place, SurgiStaff will follow up with Housing information and options, travel plans and options and begin payroll setup. We will walk you through the entire process and make sure you are settled and ready to go by your start date.
